Jennifer Osborne-Aldred, MSW, RCSW, RYT, RCYT

Lead Therapist/Owner, Registered Clinical Social Worker, Registered Clinical Supervisor, Designated Capacity Assessor

Jennifer Osborne-Aldred has had a diverse and enriching career in social work, spanning over 17 years since her registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers in 2007. She is a Clinical Social Worker, Designated Capacity Assessor and Adult/Child Yoga Instructor. Her dedication to supporting various demographics including youth, adults, seniors, and families underscores her commitment to community well-being.

Jennifer's pursuit of continuous education is evident through her attainment of a Master's degree in Social Work with a specialization in Clinical Social Work in 2014. This advanced degree reflects her dedication to enhancing her knowledge and skills within her chosen field, enabling her to provide more effective support and intervention to her clients.

In addition to her formal education in social work, Jennifer has expanded her expertise by completing her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and Yoga Kids training, earning her credentials as a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. Her passion for yoga extends beyond personal practice; she integrates it into her counseling and mental health practice, recognizing the profound benefits it offers in promoting self-regulation and overall well-being. By incorporating breathing and relaxation techniques into her sessions, Jennifer empowers her clients to cultivate resilience and manage stress effectively.

Jennifer has completed her basic and advanced training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T.). This innovative approach to psychotherapy offers a rapid and effective means of addressing trauma and difficult life experiences, typically yielding benefits within a remarkably short timeframe of 1-5 sessions.

A.R.T. employs a straightforward process that utilizes relaxing eye movements and a technique known as Voluntary Memory/Image Replacement. Through these methods, negative images associated with traumatic experiences are reprocessed and stored in the brain in a less distressing manner. Importantly, clients undergoing A.R.T. treatment do not necessarily have to verbally recount their traumas to the therapist, making it a potentially less daunting form of therapy for some individuals.

By integrating A.R.T. into her practice, Jennifer aims to provide her clients with a more efficient and comfortable path towards healing and recovery. With A.R.T., Jennifer seeks to empower her clients to overcome the lingering effects of trauma and reclaim control over their emotional well-being.

Overall, Jennifer Osborne-Aldred's multifaceted background in social work and yoga exemplifies her holistic approach to supporting individuals and families in their journey towards improved mental and emotional health. Her diverse skill set and commitment to ongoing learning make her a valuable asset to her community and the field of social work.
